POKOTABI / San Kyu
三九厨房 赤坂2号店
At San Kyu in Akasaka, diners can enjoy affordable set meals featuring tingling Sichuan-style sliced pork stew, mapo tofu, and noodle sets with half fried rice. Open late into the night with drinks and a la carte dishes.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
When working around Akasaka and craving substantial Chinese fare, San Kyu provides a dependable lunch set option. The Sichuan-style stewed sliced pork teishoku layers tender slices of pork over bean sprouts and cabbage in a broth sparked with Sichuan peppercorn and chili that naturally calls for steamed rice. Set meals come with rice, soup, pickles, and almond jelly, alongside classics like mapo tofu, yurinchi fried chicken, and eight-treasure stir-fry.
For days that call for both noodles and rice, combination sets pair dandan noodles or ramen with a half portion of fried rice, or feature seafood yakisoba. Weekly stir-fries and accessible cold starters such as spicy simmered beef shank let diners tailor their meal whether dining alone or sharing multiple plates in a group.
Operating until 3:00 the following morning from Monday through Saturday, and until 2:00 late night on Sundays, the restaurant functions comfortably as a late dining spot or an after-drinks stop. Alcoholic drinks including beer and all-you-can-drink plans are available, and payments can be made with credit cards and PayPay.
